Gasification

The realization of the gasification project of the “Oil Refinery Brod” JSC presupposes the fulfilment of conditions for environmental approval, compliance with environmental standards of RS B&H, including EU standards and requirements for sulphur oxide (SO2) emissions and non-combustion of sulphur fuel oil. In such combination, this system will provide natural gas supply to the production facilities of the Oil Refinery.

During 2020, the construction of the internal gas network and the control metering and regulating station on the territory of “Oil Refinery Brod” JSC was completed.

Since 2020, the construction of the gas pipeline to the Oil Refinery has been under way, with the connection to the gas transmission system of the Republic of Croatia. The completion of the construction works on the gas pipeline and the beginning of industrial activity is planned in the 3rd quarter of 2021.

Gasification of the factory opens up new possibilities. They relate to the development of autonomous gasification using technology to compress gas.

The project for natural gas compression includes the construction of a gas filling station on the territory of “Oil Refinery Brod” JSC with a capacity of 40 million m³ of compressed gas per year and further delivery of compressed gas to PS Nestro Petrol.

As of 2021, the organization for the delivery and installation of compressor equipment has been in progress. Implementation of the 1st phase of the project is to be completed and the beginning of industrial activities for the installation of gas compression is planned in the 3rd quarter of 2021.
